Hands-on learning will focus on how in-home and social work assessments are managed; how food service and meal deliveries are planned and coordinated; how recreation activities are coordinated and run; how wellness checks are carried out.
Interns will be required to submit a short paper reflecting on their experiences before the end of the internship. Each intern will pursue a geriatric-related project and will make a presentation about it at an end-of-internship event.
