March - Annual Teaneck Weight-Loss Challenge 
Kick-off March 2019! The Township of Teaneck is holding its annual Weight Loss Challenge for Teaneck residents and individuals who work in Teaneck from mid-March to mid-May. This 10-week program helps residents take the first steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Prizes will be given to those who are eligible. For more details, contact the Teaneck Health Department at health@teanecknj.gov .

March 17 - Movies on a Sunday: Loving Vincent
Sponsored by the Friends of the Teaneck Public Library is a movie called Loving Vincent. In a story depicted in oil painted animation, a young man comes to the last hometown of painter Vincent Van Gogh to deliver the troubled artist's final letter and ends up investigating his final days there.  Doors open half an hour early and discussion to follow. March 22 - Stand Up Comedy Night
Join us for a night of laughter and fun! Geriatric Services presents Stand Up Comedy, featuring Robert Morgan (Broadway Comedy Club), Christian Espinal (Greenwich Village Comedy Club), and Blair Hirak (The Comedy Strip). The event starts at 7:00 but doors open at 6:30 and is available to anyone 21 or older. Ticket includes snacks and one free drink. Cash bar and 50/50 raffle is available. April 1 - 8th Annual Taste of Teaneck
A sampling of the best restaurants in the area, including kosher! Please join this restaurant-showcase and tricky tray and enjoy entertainment by the Mistress of Ceremonies Valerie Johnson and live jazz by the Pittman-Daniels Quartet. Are you struggling with a chronic lung condition? Holy Name is pleased to present a unique 8-week program, FREE, to anyone with a diagnosis of COPD or other lung disease. Take part and you will receive a harmonica along with therapeutic music lessons. You will receive support from therapists, nurses, social workers, and doctors to learn about COPD and chronic care management. April 5 - History Presentation - Whatever Happened to NJ's Mills?
Historian Phil Jaeger will present a historical depiction of Whatever Happened to New Jersey's Mills?  in the 1800's more than a thousand water-powered mills operated in NJ. These mills not only satisfied the community's needs, but were also the social centers of their day. Over the years, many of these mills were abandoned, some were converted to other uses, and others were destroyed by nature. A few of them still function. Especially for Seniors is a series by Holy Name Medical Center that will address the health concerns and the impact of illnesses on he over-55 community. The First People of NJ arrive thousands of years before the Colonial Era. These Stone Age migrants came just after the last glacial ice began to recede, and over time became the Lenni-Lenape. Dr. Michael Norris of Armchair Art Tours will give a presentation of The Ancient Near East at the Met.
