Good evening, I’m Jackie Kates, project coordinator of Age-Friendly Teaneck, a community initiative established to ensure that Teaneck residents can age-in-place in their homes and community. 2/27/2019 0 Comments Affordable Housing Alert: Preliminary Applications Being Accepted for New Units in Teaneck The 248-unit, five-story Avalon Bay apartment currently rising on Windsor Road has reserved 25 apartments for residents whose incomes are deemed very low, low, or moderate.
Monthly rents for those specially designated apartments will range from as low as $328 to as high as $1,162, Age-Friendly Teaneck is partnering with religious leaders to identify and assist vulnerable older adults who might be living increasingly homebound lives.

About housing, transportation, health, quality of life and ultimately about this essential question: How do we make sure the Township is a place where people can live at all ages and stages of life in safety, comfort and dignity?

The Teaneck Department of Health and Human Services recently relocated its social services offices to the 2nd Floor of the Richard Rodda Center. Officials believe the widely used recreation center will be a more convenient location for residents than the previous office located inside the municipal complex.
